Introduction:
I could not find any good tests of this machine so I decided to make my
own. Compal is a well known OEM brand, however from a unknown reason it
is not so popular in Poland. Some people even include Compal to so
called “noname” brands despite of the fact, that
many of the A brand's
notebooks were made by this company.

3DMark06 did not start on Windows Vista since d3dx9_28.dll was missing.
Downloading this file from
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_28
solved the problem and made
possible to perform this test.
Result 2886
In my opinion a high impact on this
result had relatively slow Intel
core 2 duo t7100 processor (comparing to available high end
processors).

Without shadows and multisampling results were better but still it was
to slow to play.

I think its comfourt. The scrooling is easy to set-up thanks to good
drivers
Keyboard
For me it`s the one of the worst part of this notebooki. Keys are
deflaiting on the middle-left side of the keyboard,. The Fn and Ctrl
keys are changed so that could be annoying
Fingerprint reader
Very useful especialy on Windows Vista (you can use youre fingerprint
as pasword)
Case
Laptops look very good. It`s black with blue Led diods.
The LCS Cover has good quality, but it`s easy to screatched it
and
the fingerprints are easly viewable
Noise level:
It`s one of the most important problems in computers (and
especialy
notebooks). In this Compal the noise level is very low, the fan works
only when the laptop is using all his power (for exaample in 3DMark or
other testing software)
Temperature level:
Only the bottom -left side is warm

After instalation of drivers to wow audio\video the voise has become
worse
For me this buttons are useless
Don`t install it.
