Introduction:
I could not find any good tests of this machine so I decided to make my own. Compal is a well known OEM brand, however from a unknown reason it is not so popular in Poland. Some people even include Compal to so called “noname” brands despite of the fact, that many of the A brand's notebooks were made by this company.

3D Mark 2006
3DMark06 did not start on Windows Vista since d3dx9_28.dll was missing.
Downloading this file from
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_28
solved the problem and made
possible to perform this test.
Result 2886
In my opinion a high impact on this
result had relatively slow Intel
core 2 duo t7100 processor (comparing to available high end
processors).

The results was tragic
Screen was made by mobile phone (sorry for the quality)
Resolution: 1680x1050
ShadowMap size 2048x2048
Shadow Quality 2
Shadow sampling off
Multi sampling on (4X)
Resolution: 1680x1050
ShadowMap size 2048x2048
Shadow Quality 0
Shadow sampling off
Multi sampling on off
Min FPS 3.0
Max FPS 12
Avg FPS 6.8
Without shadows and multisampling results were better but still it was to slow to play.

Resolution: 1024x748
ShadowMap size 1024x1024
Shadow Quality 0
Shadow sampling off
Multi sampling on off
Min FPS 5.3
Max FPS 22.3
Avg FPS 11.6
The results in 1024x768 resolution were still far away from 25 FPS (absolute FPS required for comfortable playing)
